Expect? expect either a dead person or a really messed up person to come home.

Why does he want that over being with you. He's made his choice to leave you.

Break up with him. Find a guy who appeciates you.

no one i really cared about has acutally gone to the army, but i know its really hard. how long will he be gone??? a year???? friends of mine, one of them wanted to go into the army and was away for a year and a half!!!! u just kind of suck it up and deal with it around others, but u should keep pics of him, so u always have him when he's away. and whenever possible, have him call u. there isnt really much u can do! u should expect though a lot of time to think about him, and u can b very sad at times, which is expected, hopefully though, he will come back all safe and sound!
good luck with everything!

:)

There are several of us who severed. I did nearly nine years. If you want I will be more than happy to try and answer your questions. However to do it here is a bit much. Better you think of some of the issues you are concerned about and e-mail me.

i haven't been in that position so i could not tell you what you should do. what i can offer here is a piece of advice. support your boyfriend's dreams. let him do what he has to do. stop thinking of bad things, that won't help. show him your support. he'll be back someday and i'm sure he'll stay for GOOD.
