If you try to talk to a girl and she ignores you. That's one sign. If you're in a group of people and she talks to everyone, but you, that's also a sign. If you head her way and she walks off in another direction. That's a sign. If you leave messages on her machine or e-mail her and she never responds, that's a sign. If when you confront her about it, she says she's been busy. That's a sign.
If a girl really likes you, she'll want to be around you and will answer you're calls and e-mails.

Avoidance, annoyance, irritability, and anger around the guy, and basically a bad mood if they don't like the guy, but knows if the guy likes her.
If the girl doesn't know the guy likes her, but has no feelings back, then she'd be indifferent, until the guy tells her.
If the girl IS interested in the guy, then she'd be much more happy no matter what around him.
