Yes you can. Before, you would have to downgrade the speaker signal coming from the radio to 1w per channel so the amp could use it. These sounded crappy.

But now there are some pretty cool devices that integrate with factory stereos that actually help.

Crutchfield has a nice selection. Check this one out.

why not?? After all it is the sub and the amp that are making the sound. The CD player just plays the CD.

If you do it, get an active crossover to filter out sounds that u dont want...so u only get low frequencies going to the sub. Just get a cheap amp, even a 2nd hand amp with about 200rms to power ur sub. that should do it. NOt expensive to do at all.

sure you can, you might not get the best audio fidelity but it can be done the only thing i suggest is to add an equalizer, crossover or signal processor this way you can attenuate if needed or increase signal gain the purpose of this is to have as much control of your system as possible. usually people add an amp and increase the gains drowning out the highs; by adding an eq. this will allow you to control that and smoothen out your bass response.

Yeah and it still sounds good. the plus side is if people look in your car all they see is a stock deck so they have no reason to break in ands look for subs or amps.

YOU SURE CAN AND THIS IS WHAT YOU WOULD NEED TO CONVERT THE HIGH LEVEL OUTPUTS TO A LOW LEVEL RCA OUTPUT FOR YOUR AMP. HERES A LINK.
