A water molecule is composed of 2 Hydrogen atoms and 1 Oxygen atom.

Normal tap water and bottled water normally also contain mineral trace elements in addition to the water.

Truely Pure Water is a compount made up 2 parts Oxygen and one part Hydrogen. Both oxygen and hydrogen are gasses in their elemental form, but when they combine they form a liquid at normal room temperature.

Day to day we rarely come into contact with pure water, except maybe distilled water. that's becauise water dissolves other stuff into it pretty well (its one of the best known solvents). There is often chlorine gas dissolved into it to help kill bacteria, and there are often trace minerals dissolved into it as well,, which is why water from different places taste different (not to mention other chemical flavorings added to commercial flavored waters).

Most liquids we can drink are mixtures in water and other stuff.
