Your friend needs to report this abuse to the police, verbal abuse can turn into physical abuse etc. So informing the police now gives them some idea of what is going on, they may be able to stop it. She also needs to let her parents know so they too know how to best protect her. The guy probably needs to have anger managment or some other form of counciling.

Tell her that she needs to confront her ex and if he gets violent there are other alternatives and if you are a true friend you would be right behind her to wope his a** if he tried anything because my sister was in the same position except she was only talking to other guys and her ex thank gosh never saw her so he was just a controling ***. so just tell her to confront him and to stay out of her business from now on
