I heard, on a progressive radio talk-show that Ehern Watada's court marshal was declared a mis-trial by the judge.

I haven't heard one thing about this case on the Republican owned main-stream news media outlets, like FOX News, or ABC, channel 7.

Does anybody have any links to the full story?

Was it declared a mis-trial because the U.S.military didn't have enough evidence to courtmarshal the man, and how do all the cons that rashly called the man a traiter feel now, after exposing their foolishness to the world?

.

Apparently it's true, this is the website for Watada:

I'm a Republican but I don't call him a traitor because he objected to the war through the proper channels, and he has a valid argument. I point out that he volunteered to fight in Afghanistan because he supports that cause.

He's not off yet. It was declared a mistrial because he accidently (without knowledge or counsel) made a statement that more or less declared himself guilty. The judge, an officer, determined that his lack of knowledge made this an unfair admittance of guilt and as such declaired a mistrial and moved to have the whole case re-tried so that Lt Watada can be fairly brought to justice for any transgressions discovered.

The declaration of mistrial has absolutely nothing to do with Lt Watada being declared "not guilty"

To my knowledge he can be tried again because nothing was voted on. I am sorry but he should have read the thing he signed, what person especially in the military signs something they are unfamiliar with. I know I read the fine print. The same judge will preside over the next case which should start in about 30ish days.

Yes due to his pretrial statement of fact being misleading to him. There is no such thing as "double jeopardy" in UCMJ (military law) but there are protections against being charged for the same specifications.

He signed a document he did not understand. He will be retried in March. It has been all over the media.

Unfortunately the coward will get off easy, when he should be going to prison and then dishonarably discharged.
