I would avoid dairy if you have a problem with body fat levels. while milk is low in the glycemic index it is high on the insulin index. elevated serum insulin levels mean a greater potential for fat storage.
only babies need milk not human adults. you can get plenty of calcium from fruits and veggies with out the sugars and elevated insulin levels.

Cows milk is great if you are a calf, born at about 100# and growing to 600# within a year. (does that answer your question?) It basically is not fit for human food for many reasons, and gaining weight is the least of them!

So eat food from plants sources, such grains, beans, vegetables and fruits.

believe me i try it and i lost 8 -9 pounds in less than 1 months. I tried atkins or southbeach diet or all fad diets, and i was always weak and hungry and all the lost came back after i stoped. but with this i am feel full all the time and losing weight. first you start to loss sizes and then you loss on the scale.

cows milkk will do you no harm,its not always good to believe everything in the media,lets face it if we all gave up what is bad to eat or drink then we would all starve to death or die from dehydration,if you are wanting to lose weight i wouldnt suggest staying off of milk i would just suggest changing to lower fat milk.

i think any milk is good for you when you want to lose weight as long as its low fat. Scientifically proven that a high calcium but low fat diet can reduce the absorbing of fat in the stomach and help you pass it through the intestine.

if you want to lose weight, drink low fat or skim free milk. Studies have shown that drinking 24 oz. (I think) of low fat or skim milk can help aid you to lose weight. I hear it on a radio commercial every now and then.

No, cows milk is loaded with fat. nutrients also, but there is a reason cows become so large. i sugjest two percent, or no milk at all. make it a treat =]

depends on who you ask. new studies are saying yes. lots of commercials out now. 24/24. saying drink 24oz of low fat milk every 24 hrs to help you lose weight. plus it's just good for you, you need calcium.
