It isn't a horrible food. Definately better than some out there (Iams, Pedigree, Alpo, Science Diet, Purina). But there are many foods that are much much better. Solid Gold is around the same price but is of a much higher quality. Several others would be Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover, Canidae, Wellness, Innova, California Natural, and Natural Balance. I had my dog on Nutro for about a 1/2 a bag before I decided it wasn't good enough and needed to switch. She was pooping too often, her coat was dull and her breath was pretty bad. She's on Wellness venison formula now and everything is much better.

My dogs love Nutro Natural Choice; whatever the flavor may be. I have a Toy Poodle, Minature Schnauzer, and two American Pit Bull Terriers. It makes all of thier coats look nice and my Poodle was allergic to just about any other dog food, luckily, Natrual Choice worked for her. I highly recommend this brand!

I thought it was, but it turns out that my dog is allergic to it. There is a couple other brands that have worked very well for us--if you're looking for suggestions-
Nature's Recipe
Dick Van Patten's
Both of these have alternative sources of protein and no by-products. The Nature's Recipe that my dog eats and tolerates has fish as the main protein source and he's doing well. Coat is shiny, not smelly, and most of all, he isn't having issues when he goes outside.
Ultimately, it depends on the breed and what works best for your doggie. Good luck. I know picking the right food is a challenge.

Yes, it's great. nutro uses all natural food, with no by-products. Authority is also a good one. Lamb is usually tolerated by all dogs pretty well, and when I make my dogs food, i use a combo of chicken, lamb and venison.

My cousin works for Nutro. Based on his stories, I wouldn't recommend it.

Yes but you must keep in mind the breed of the dog,the size of the dog,and its health (whether or not it is in good health or if it is diabetic, arthritic, food allergies).....

Are you talking about natural-life food??? I just switched and my dogs coats are better, there is not suppose to be any bi-products in it.

It's great. My vet suggested it because my dog has allergies. It has never caused stomach upset and she loves it!
