I am looking at a few cars to buy, because my 24th birthday is coming up. I am down to basically 3 cars...they all have pluses and negatives, down to what people think, most importantly what girls think.

RX8 - I really like the interior design, but the material is cheap, the two extra doors helps, but I usually don't have 3 other passengers with me, gas milage is bad,it's got a rotary engine, so you gotta take care of it, that means 5 minutes to warm up, even during the summer. Good acceleration and handling, weight balance, fun to push to the limits, but limits are quickly reached.

TSX - It's the only sedan I am looking at, it's the best sedan for a young guy. It's the most luxerious of the 3 that I am looking at. Good gas, and reliable. But it's not a sports car, okay accerlation and handling...less so in the fun factor.

G35 coupe - More fun on the track than the RX8, 2+2 unlike the Z, most expensive of the 3, bad on gas but 3.5L engine. Limits of car hard to reach.

If I had the money I would go with the G35. They have always been on the cutting edge of sport and luxury with their cars. Dependability is just like all the Japanese cars, tops.
And they seem to hold their resell prices better then most any other Japanese car. But then again they cost a bit to get into.

Out of the 3 you listed, I highly recommend the G35.

I drove a G35 sedan for a good year and a half before it was in a horrible accident about 2 weeks ago. My passenger and I walked away. The car was totaled.

On performance, comfort and options, G35 beats out all of those. You might also consider looking at the Acura TL, but thats a sedan and doesn't sound exactly like what you want.

If the price of a G35 is a bit out of reach, get an '05. You'll save a good 5-8 grand on taxes and dealer markup and will still have a lot of warranty left on the car.

Maintenance costs on the G35 will not be cheap though. I practically burned through the tires in less than 25k miles and the dealer will charge you over a grand for 4 new ones. Depending on how much you drive, gas gets expensive.

As some have pointed out, a sweet car won't really get you any awesome girls, just the easy ones who are impressed by cars. I don't know if thats a good thing or bad thing for you, but keep it in mind.

G35 all the way.

Wow, you must have a lot more dough at age 24 than I did. When determining the cost of a car, do not forget to factor in the insurance and maintenance costs. All three cars you list will be high on both of these items.

If I was you, I would consider something less expensive and more reliable like a Honda Accord Coupe and Nissan Altima. Still sporty looking cars, but with a much lower sticker price and much higher reliability rating. Don't take my word for it, ask the Infinity and Acura dealers what is costs for maintenance and then compare with less exotic brands. I also like the new Civic Coupes. Good power to weight ratio, excellent gas mileage and a car that will stick with you through thick and thin.

If you want to build wealth in your life, mitigate expenditures on depreciating assets. In other words, don;t spend a lot of dough on things that lose value every day you own them. The moment that car leaves the dealers parking lot, it will lose about 25% of its value. Buy a less expensive car, and but the difference into a mutual fund or real estate. You will be much happier in the long run.

By the way, if you are buying a car to impress women, don't. The fast majority of women (and almost all the good and decent ones) do not even know nor do they care what kind of car you drive.

I am a TSX owner and I love it. I bought it when I was 27 and am now 30. I'll sum it up for you.......it's a very luxurious car for a very affordable price. It's practical for someone your age. Trust me don't ever buy a car based on the "cool" factor. it's what you spend most of your time in besides bed and you want something that is comfortable for you not your friends, reguardless what car you buy. Also think ahead....how long are you planning to have the car?...are you still gonna want the car when you are 27- 28..you know, things like that.Well I wish you good luck and I hope this finds you well.

So you have money to burn it seems. Get something you you can live with. Nevermond what others have to say especially the girls. You are the one driving it. Do you want to be safe have good handling and some prestige with an engine that has power and good on gas? Try a lexus or Toyota Camry.

when buying a car, you got to look past the look of a car, first look at the miles on it,, an then their are the break down, how much to have it fix ,when it quit, now day gas is the best deal, also what you be useing the car for, for if you only buy a car ,for look, you may have a good body, only to sit at an look at,out of the 3 you posted i go for the tsx

I love the 2007 TL, although the RL is faster. The TSX isn't as hot. So, if those are your only options, I'd go with the G35. Think it's faster.
