If you are underage then your parents have every right to limit your privacy. Your living under their roof so therefore they have the right to know what their child is doing. This means that they are being good parents. There is a lot of stuff that people can get into, they are making sure that you are not one of those people.

Even though the are being over bareing they mean more good than harm. they want to protect you. I can say as the parent of a teen and a tween that its really scary when your watching the news and the things you see and hear about. Drug use. kidnappings ect. there are many times that i have to remind myself that i have taught my kids well and they have good values and common scense. Just remember that your parents are the way they are because they love you. A lot of parents today dont care what their kids do. be glad that yours do. Mabey if you show them how responsible you have become, they may give you a little more privacy.

You won't want to hear this, but it's your parent's job to interfere in your life until you're grown. While you don't appreciate it right now, you will when you get older. If there's something you don't want them to know about, then don't put it in your diary! Parents try, very hard, to guide, and protect their children. Irregardless of your age, you'll be a child to them until you're legally an adult. Get over it, and try to understand that what they're doing is done out of love, and concern for you.

stay clean. If you don't have anything to hide, they won't find anything.
Your parents are responsible for you, but you won't understand until you have kids of your own. Don't write in a diary if you do not want anyone to read it. As long as you are under mom and dad's roof, abide by their rules- it will make living there much easier.
If you are scared it is because you will be found out. The bible states that kids are to obey their parents if they want to live long, it also states that you can be sure, your sins will be found out. If you want to be happy and live a long life- obey their rules.

I, as a parent, never ever read any of my daughters diary. That was her private thoughts and were none of my business. If she wanted me to know she would tell me so. Hide your diary and never leave it out for others to be tempted. You probably will read it later on in life and destroy it anyway. GOOD LUCK.

Have you ever given them a reason to worry about your activities?
Have you lied to them about things or done things that you have been told not to do and so now you cannot be trusted?
If you are in thier house and you have done any of the above you have created your own problems.

Then I suggest YOU get a job, move out on your own pay all of your own bills then you'll have all the privacy you'll ever want.

Show them that you are mature enough to be trusted and keep your diary in a private place.
