Those two vehicles aren't really in the same class. The Envoy is bigger, has more power, more hauling capacity, more interior room, more comfortable seats, more stuff in general.
The Envoy wins hands down in my book!

The Envoy has stabletrak, just like on all other General Motors automobiles, so the Envoy would beat the CR-V very easily, even with the 2WD version. But if you need a cheaper or more high class alternative, try the Chevy Trailblazer, Buick Rainier, Saab 9-7x, or the Izusu Asender.

Do you mean Gulf of Mexico region or Persian Gulf?
Choose the Envoy. It is bigger, safer, and has the same fuel economy. And, it's...DOMESTIC!!! YAY!
