If i am a none fish eating vegetarian, i.e. a proper one, but i eat dairy, can i eat roe?

Isn't roe fish eggs? If so, then no you cannot eat it and still be a vegetarian

no, you cannot eat roe.

The fish are caught and squeezed, often by hand. The eggs all come out into a bucket and the fish is thrown into a pit and left to die.

Good question though, nice to see you are a vegetarian and not a fish-eater

I always thought that Roe was fish stomach... in which case the fish will die :-(

Roe are eggs. I think you can harvest them by squeezing the belly of the fisy - tho I doubt that's what commercial fisheries do
