I just bought an 8 month old Rottweiler and would like some pro advise on the proper way to approach her and introduce her to our home where I also have a female German Shepherd the same age. Should I take her for a walk first to to establish dominance or alpha before I take her home? Please advise me.

Actually you answered your own question . Taking her for a long walk to establish who is in control is an excellent to introduce her to the family .also try rolling her over on her back until she shows submission . Well good luck to you

First you can to your German shappered.If they are understand themselv they will adjust.But seperate food,seperate place for resting must.Walking is a best solution but, you took walking both in a same time.

generally females dont bond well with other females--i have 2 Rotts---4 1/2 and 3 yrs...been together almost 3 yrs..male female...feed separately....dont allow one to be able to get to others food....feed at same time but in different places....walking together is fine as long as they progress with leash training at same rate....you may have to do 1 at a time till trained.....main thing is observe them while playing and use that knowledge in your approach to nuturing training etc.

First why 8 months old and why a rotty anyway,be loving and firm and get the dogs aquainted first .......good luck to you.

there are not bad dogs you had to gibe him to much love and Patience and that is the secret
