I'm curious, are 'dog tags' (in the military sense, the identification worn by at least UK and US soldiers) used by the Japanese army?

Or do they have some other system?

not much info on it. at one time the japanese did.

I dont think they use dog tags for the Japanese army

No. They all have their information in the user file of their Game Boy"s. Every soldier is issued a Game Boy to carry at all times.
