Well the only advice I can give you is on my Rott she was a German Rott. and she was a one person dog. (mine) I was the Alpha in her eyes and even though she would protect my husband she still felt as she was over him. she would let you pet her then when she had enough she would give you a growl to stop. I loved her very much but she developed diabetes and got so bad we had to put her down, she was only 5 years old this broke my heart, but I think it was God taking care of a difficult situation, because I became pregnant and everyone kept on telling me I had to get rid of her before the baby came because she was so aggressive, I knew I couldn't keep her outside because she was raised indoors since she was 5 1/2 weeks old, I knew she could not be a good pet for any other person, because like I said she was my dog and only my dog, all people that came in contact with her were scared to death of her, at her prime weight (before diabetes) she weighed in at 195lbs so she was huge, we took her to Florida 2 times and she loved water, I had nothing to worry about when that dog was around she could snap a harness in a second, I had to use a bull lead as a leash for her because of her massive strength, they are very smart dogs, I use to keep her treats in a cookie jar shaped like a cow and when you opened it up it would moo, so when she wanted a treat she would come to me an moo. And even funnier we were driving by cows and she started mooing, I know I should have gotten that on tape because when I tell that story everyone thinks I am crazy, my husband can back me up on this one because he heard it too. well enough about my dog, If you don't have small children I say go ahead and get a Rott. but if you have children or plan on it, then a Rott is not a good family pet. Sorry

She will have whatever nature you teach her to have. Dogs behavior is learned. It has nothing to do with her breed. HOWEVER she will be a very powerful breed. and it would be a good idea to take her to training classes. dont belive anything you hear about those dog breeds because they both have bad reputations. Its Crap so if you love it and read up on the breed since they are WORKING breeds...they need a job to do so read up on them and train them accordingly. and you should be fine :) Hope that helps some

A heavy lap dog that will think you are his mommy all the days of his life. As such, he will follow you eagerly no matter where you may go. A greater friend you could never hope to own.
Both staffordshires and rottweilers are excellent family pets and great kissers!

i know from experience. okay my pit bull got to the rotti next door 3 times. and they decided to keep 2 males form the 1st litter. and there names are rock and rolly. rock is people friendly but a dog hater. rolly is people agressive and somwhat dog friendly. the mom rotti is people and dog agressive. she will attack with out warning. she attacked my chow about 5 times and another dog. my pit bull is the best. he loves dogs and he loves people. there are very pretty dogs. and rolly is my fav. he likes me more than his own family. they love to play and go for rides. the 2 males dont get along with each other. hope this helps.

A great one if you treat her properly. All bad behaviour is learned, not instinct.
