I agree about "midwestern small-town values." Manhattan, for example, is not the place to go looking!
The best spots would be, your place of worship; your family/friendship network; volunteer organizations---(especially your political party--that's a great place to look!) Youth sports are another good place. One of my friends, a single mother, met her (now ) husband when he coached her son's baseball team.
There are good men out there. Be friendly, be optimistic, be hopeful. Smile at everyone and be approachable! Good luck.

Sorry, I am married...but, I suggest looking in the areas where you would find the type of person you are looking for more often.

For example - you list decent, true, stable, and honest as qualities that you would desire. This is stereotypical, I understand, as there are certainly a lot of exceptions - but they are much harder to find.

Think Midwest values. Think smaller towns and even rural areas to find the old-fashioned values. The big cities are full of men looking to make the big dollars and so their goals are not living a decent, stable life. Those that stay closer to home, those that turn down the promotion to stay within the community they love, those who will turn down a job that will have them travel more than see their wives and kids are probably those that you are NOT looking for.

Those who stay put, have more stability - though may not be as rich in most cases. They have values that are close to their hearts. They are the men that create loving, caring, stable, honest husbands and boyfriends.

Just my opinion

There are a lot of us out here and a lot of us are single because we are not interested in the women (in my opinion only) that were ruined by the radical women's lib movement. That may just be me, but I'm not interested in a woman that wants to be a man. Yes Yes I know that the women's lib movement was supposed to be about equal rights. but the end result has turned out to be something else entirely. I started losing interest when femininity became a bad word. "Old school" men prefer "old school" women, where are they?

Yes, there's one here in WI. He's my husband's best friend. He's 43, never been married. Longest relationship was for 6 years and the girl left him. He wants kids. He's the whole package, I just can't understand why he can't find a good girl.

Yes there are but women far outnumber men so the chances are it will be harder for you to find a man than it is for a man to find a women

Noooooooooooooo... they will say you what you want to hear: "Yes, I am a true gentleman", but once they meet you they will grasp your knee under the table in a cafe and say: "Babe, what an *** you have! I'd love to do you this way!"
