If your life is eternal torment, then obviously something is wrong in your soul - I don't know what it is, I don't know you - but that's not the way it's supposed to be.

Jesus promises that His burden is easy and His load is light ... if this is not happening for you, then something is wrong.

our lives are the result of the choices we made yesterday. If you look around you will see that we have all made our own bed.
karma does also come into play but if you are honest with yourself you will see that everything that has/is happening in your life has either been created, promoted or allowed by you to happen.
our souls were sent to this plane by father for no other reason than to make the choice of love/return to father or dominion/contoling others here.
I have found an excellent free site, All the books are free also.

Life is the gift of our Creator, as a part of well considered plans. In way God wanted to make this life an eternal torment for his creations who like His folck or His family for whom has created everything which they will need at anytime but availing the opporunities is left for mankind according to their will and circumstances. He is carefully watching the conduct of everyone with due cognizance of their circumstances and judging their actions in their circumstances and their capabilities to reward them for fulfilment of best possible performance.Where there are prizes there are perils also.It is natural that only those who shall invoke his wrath, who did not conduct themselves according to His expectation, in the same manner as we do in our smaller circle of influence. Those who suffered due to others shall be compensated for the lack of chances not available to them but those who misconduct despite the chances for an orderly conduct shall be punished for the misuse. It same as we do in the circle of our influence. Those who suffered to abide by His dictates shall honoured and rewarded more than the sufferers of circumstances.

My life is fairly good. I don't have many complaints.

Hell is just a superstition. God doesn't exist. There is no Heaven either. When you die, you're just dead.

So, you have to think of life, itself, as a bonus. All of your experiences, good and bad, add to your life experience. Enjoy life for what it is and don't expect it to be "fair".

we can choose to serve God or make our own choices. If we make our own choices then there is Karma. Good things produce god karma bad things produce bad karma. your next life is being decided right now by the decisions and ways you live your life.
we can transcend Karmic reaction if we dovetail our desires with the higher Consciousness or God.

Our life is eternal bliss since the day we choose to do the Will of God. It is eternal torment when we choose to disobey Him. We must be responsible of our free choice.

There is no hell except here on earth. God is building heaven out of hell.
