Actually the internet can be a great source of news and information. Jehovah's Witnesses, in fact, have a webpage that is free to viewing (1 official webpage).
However, as JW's we are cautioned as to the content that is available. Just think, in the past, to get pornography, you had to walk into a store and buy a plastic wrapped magazine, and generally, had to be of a certain age. Under such circumstances, even those who intended to view such material may have been too embarrassed to go buy it. Now it comes free to your computer and even very minor children have access to it.
People have left husbands and wives for those they have never met, sexual predators, business scemes, etc. are further problems that can result.
While we do not believe the internet is evil, we certainly understand that there are evil people who take advantage of it and likewise use caution as to what and who we are in contact with.

While you are at it, why not ask if they think radio, TV, and magazines are also evil? The answer would be the same for all these media sources. Some of it's good; some of its bad. Our Bible-trained conscience helps us distinguish between the two. But saying that we equate the Internet with any number is just silly.

Sadly, anti-Witnesses work hard to spread their lying slander and innuendo. In fact, Jehovah's Witnesses utilize the internet for a tremendous amount of organization practicalities, as well as for presenting information about the bible and about their work to the public.
Witness publications occasionally discuss practical advice about regarding the internet with selectiveness and care, just as a mature Christian does with television or any anonymous association.

There is a ton of misinformation out there about Jehovah's Witnesses. (some of it really off the wall!) Glad you asked before you just took it and ran with it! No! We don't equate the internet with the mark of the beast. We have our own website, for goodness sakes!
Of course, it should be used wisely and with balance and moderation!

So, did yo make this up on your own, just to make waves. Anything can be evil if used in the wrong way, such as churches being used as points of money exchange.

I think it is a debate between two groups of Jehovah wittnesses
on the search engine there was an article warning that some Jehovah Wittnesses want to use the internet to teach a wrong belief
The ones I know of on the internet say it is how you use it just like any choices in life.

If you use the internet for good things ..is good..Anyway only God could invent it...Even the man is good and made by God , and they use wrong this man...For e.g. I have a not too gorgeous photo here...Can't they give me a photo with prince William , smiling?Or with Mathew McCounaghy?Can't they be more politely in their answers?Actually politness comes from common sense and the common sense comes from a good reason.

No. I personally know 5 people of this religion and they like to drink(responsibly) dance, sing, they have computers, televisions, like movies and other stuff that other people like and do.
People are so ignorant.
