A woman came into my work yesterday with a STUNNING moissanite ring. I hadn't heard of it before, but it looked just like a diamond, maybe even better sparkle/fire! I looked online and read up on them a little, but I was actually just curious as to what people's first hand opinons on it are...it cost much less than a diamond, but still has all the beauty...

A friend of mine has one of those moissanite diamonds as her wedding ring. It is large and beautiful and cost a lot less than a real diamond. She is very happy with it and actually requested her husband to purchase it for her.

Moissanite are cheaper then diamond but they still are pretty pricey for a fake piece of jewelry. They are also very soft and chip easily- have to be careful with them. Cubic Zircons are little more durable and cheaper.
I can tell they are fake- but I worked in jewelry for a couple years.
Just don't get one that's too big... know one will believe you have a 5 carat diamond engagement ring. And your are correct they do sparkle a little too much which is why it's better to keep them small- like 1 carat.

they are basically lab made diamonds. kind of like CZ's but better i think. I think they are very beautiful and a lot cheaper. If you have a low budget i think they are a good choice and no one would ever know the difference.
