why do braces hurt soooooooooooooo bad!!! i've had my top braces for like 2 months but i just got my bottom braces like 3 days ago and it KILLS. what should i do?????????????????????????

braces hurt for one cuz your teeth are being manipulated around your to move so they will go straight..my daughter had braces and she hated them but you know what she has had them off for a yr now and she has such beutiful teeth now so she says it was worth it..hang in there i now it will seem like forever before they come off but you will appriciate it when they are off...my daughter alwasy took 3 ibfrofin before going to see the ortho this helped lessen the pain some if you catch the pain before it starts it isnt as bad and also take the ib profin for a couple days after your appointments..it doesnt hurt taking 3-4 ib profeins any dentist will tell you this is acceptable as it equals prescriptions ibp...just think you will have such a beutiful smile when they come off..

Take some Tylenol. Braces hurt....and everytime you get a new wire they will hurt again. I hated them too. Everyone asks....Did you get your wire tightened? NOPE...they just put a new thicker wire to make your teeth move and well, that crap hurts. The only thing you really can do is take some pain reliever.

Go back to your dentist and get the braces adjusted

stop calling yourself peter pan and be a man. jk i've had braces... they don't always hurt that bad. its mostly when they are new. there isn't much you can do except maybe take 2 aspirin.

be patient!after all you got used to your upper bracets.give it time and things will get better!
