Okay well working out on a bike is a good idea, but you need to broaden you horizon. Go running or walking everyday or get exercise tapes. Just biking is going to work the first couple of days but then your muscles are going to get use to it, and then build up and cause more weight. Make sure to add a little weight lifting no more then 15 pounds at least two times a week. Dont increase the weight!.... I hope this helped a little.

I was 165 pounds when I quit smoking and using crystal meth on the same day. I am now 18 years older and 130 pounds heavier. "How long does it take to lose weight?" I have no idea. I gave those up for my health. Now look at me, my knees are shot, just standing up is painful. Getting dressed is an aerobic workout. Everybody is an expert with their advise to me, so I'll pass it on: cut out the sugars, cut down the carbs. eat more fresh fruit and vegetables. eat smaller portions, Eat a good breakfast and a light, healthy dinner. Rather than getting 3 big meals a day, healthy snacks every 3-4 hours is better. Drink lots and lots of water, oceans of water, drink water while you're drinking water waiting for your water bottle to fill up. I actually tried the drink lots of water, got my exercise bending over and lifting the lid 30 times a day!
Look, seriously, from a guy who has been on every fad diet, has every fad exercise equipment in his living room buried under 2XL t-shirts, size 14 isn't bad. You're young, you've got a healthy attitude, you're doing all the right things. A minor change in diet will probably get you off this plateau and back on track. Keep in mind please, men don't like to make love to sticks. Look at the difference between the bodies of Tyra Banks and Daisy Fuentes. Tyra is bony and scary. Daisy has some curves, a little cuddle to her. Much more attractive to a real man.

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Further eat only when hungry. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span. No food or drink in between the food and not more than three meals a day, unless u r diabetic.

You are probably loosing the weight already! Keep on with the exercise and in another 5 weeks you will be amazed at the compliments you will be getting. ITs a gradual process, but it will surely happen..remember you did not pick up all that weight overnight. Also, do not eat too little.. you need to eat about 1200 calories per day (of healthy food). If you eat too little, then you will force your metabolism to slow down, and you will not be able to lose weight fast enough, and most importantly, you can't maintain the habit of eating too little over a long period of time.
Dont worry it will happen - just keep execising and eating right!

OK...this is impossible to say exactly due to one small issue. Your metabolism...the rate at which your body burns fat naturally. some people's are faster than others, so they burn calories quicker. But that is OK....Think an average of about 2 lbs a week. Your program sounds very good. Mix up the exercise a bit. Biking is good, walking\running is good too...and a little resistance work (weights or push ups). Anyway you should be fine...but be patient...most weight loss plans fail not because they are not effective, but people give up too soon. Good luck with yours.

If you are exercising that much you need to eat to replenish your body. Plus, putting out way more calories than you take in will make your body think it is starving, so it will hang on to whatever calories it gets (in the form of fat) for later use, when the food runs out.
Bump up your calorie intake with maybe some fruit juices, dairy products... anything healthy. You'll be surprised.
