We also have English bulldogs with this problem. Our Pet Smart sells Royal Canine dog food, each dog breed has their own special food depending upon their needs. The bulldog brand works great. We have not had the "fart" problem since we switched. It also helps with their coat. It is shaped in a special way (as they have the angular jaw) so they they chew it. It also eliminates the gagging/throwing up that occurs with regular foods sometimes. For a 40lb bag I believe it runs around $40.00, but worth it.

oh man they can clear a room. Rufus the bulldog had a horrible problem with this, but our vet told us they have incredibly sensitive gi tracts (although they will eat anything.) we only feed kibble stopped with all the treats, no table scraps, and be careful he is not getting into any trash, spills, etc.. Amazingly, problem solved. Farts maybe once or twice a month, but still like being in a toxic waste dump when it happens :) Oh overfeeding does it too. the only way we have been able to not overfeed is with an actual measuring cup. Otherwise it looks like way too little food.

I feed mine a Chicken Soup dog food, and the same treats consistently, and she still farts. The worst is she will wait until she has her face near your face and then she burps. It is loud and stinky. So if you figure out a way to control the Bulldog gas problems, let me know. It would be nice not to get anymore unexpected burps in the face.

Although all animals do this, the bull breeds are more prone to smelling horrible. i think it has to do with their digestive system. I started using plain yogurt mixed in my bulldogges food and now she stinks a lot less. Good luck!

Because of what you feed them. They need a consistent diet, no variations, no people food, the aroma will improve dramatically. One clue is if the dog food smells nasty before you feed it to the dog.
I use Science Diet and Beneful, nothing else

I think he does this because of what he is eating and it is upsetting its tummy. maybe you should look at what it is eating and change it, then you could see whether he still farts.
Good luck wif ya little funny promblem
