Raw meaty bones are perfectly safe for your dog to chew on. Kong makes several very good products also.

Ask your vet to be a bit more specific. Perhaps there's a way to narrow it down a bit more for you. Dogs having problems with corn is becoming quite common. Dogs allergic to all meats, that's a bit more unusual. I'd ask about a trial on different meats to see what's really going on if your vet can't give you an answer. There are plenty of good foods that have red meat only or poultry only and no corn. Look on Canidae.com or Nutrapet.com for a store near you. Those are both good brands but there are many others to consider (these sites have good locators) They often have sample packs of food and smaller bags so you can test them out before investing alot of $$. My vet told me my dog was allergic to red meat so I picked a poutry food. Dog was itchy so I switched to a different poutry food and the problem my vet blamed on the red meat reappeared. Turned out to be garlic and corn.
I give mine bimple bones which are simular to nylabones but not as hard. There are also kongs which you stuff with treats and let the dog figure out how to get them out. The aisle in your pet store that has nyla bones should have several options for you. If you're certain about the allergies then watch the flavors. There's peanut butter, veggie, and several others that your dog should enjoy. You can also make your own if you have a bit of patience. Things like sweet potatoes can be sliced thin and put in a 200 F oven for several hours to dry into a chewy snack (or dehydrator if you have one)

Kong's are a great alternative. They're super tough allowing them to last a long time. You can even hide treats in them to give your dog more of a challenge. Dogs need to be challenged to keep their minds sharp and prevent boredom. This toy is a great way of doing just that!
They come in all sizes from tiny to huge. Take your pick! Oh, there is also a line of products to go along with the Kong such as dog-safe flavored peanut butter type concoctions. However, the use of such treats isn't necessary as the durable toys alone provide adequate play.
A heads up though, the prices of these toys are more expensive than your traditional cheaply made toy, so keep that in mind. Better quality for pet stuff = more money. But I think it's worth it. My dogs love them!
The first link is to the actual Kong website which is a flash website, so I can't give you links to each specific item, but if you go to the top where it says "products" it will take you to where you need to go!
Your local PetSmart or Petco should have a great selection of these items. Good luck!!

I have the same problem w/ one of our dogs, no rawhide whatsoever! He doesn't like nylonbones, the puppy does. Go to Petsmart/ Petco whichever you choose and look for the textured bone I forget the name of it a 3 pk medium size, and they come in different flavors. They are also good for dental cleaning cost is like $15.00 they last a good long time and it has none of the additives you discussed. If you ever find something other then the ones I have let us know.

try compressed rawhide bones...better than rawhide, as they come off in layers as the dog chews on the bones, and will move through the inside better. Rawhides can get stuck in there and cause all sorts of problems, as some you seem to have ran into. Hope this helps!

kongs work great.also you can try tree limbs.that is what a dog will chew in the wild.my danes prefer wood over kongs but they have both.the wood they prefer is from anykind of fruit tree.kongs are fairly expensive but they are worth the money to buy the real thing.

There are other hard rubber toys aside from Nylabones. Just make sure that it is hard enough so that your dog can't chew chunks off.
