Well first of all when you bought the car you should have been given a Red key which we call a master key ans also a black key with a small red chip at the bottom. If you have that red key all you have to do is take that red key to a dealer get a black key with a red chip cut. Now if you want you can programme the key yourself or get a tech to do it but only if you have this red key.
if not take the key to a dealer get one cut and talk to the service department about programming the key to your car i would suggest you get 2 keys cut as a precaution...
Ask another question if you want to know the sequence to programming a key

The law will be changing on this so most locksmiths will be able to replace the key. Until then, the dealer is pretty much it.
Search on the Internet, a couple of places offer a replacement key (which you have grinded normally), but they send along the synchronising steps to make it work with the can computer and security. A a big savings!

If it is the key with the little red/blue chip you will have to go to the Ford maindealer.
If it isn't, most key cutting places will cut you one.
