It doesnt seem to matter what food she eats, she is sometimes sick directly after eating or a couple of hours later. Appart from that she seems very healthy.

Thanks for your answers, I feed her a high quality pet food and have slowly changed this brand to another more expensive one. She eats dried food as wet food makes her sick even more and she doesn't seem to gulp the food down as I already feed her little and often although she does seem to puke in the bowl directly after eating sometimes. I will talk to the vet but I took her in before and they couldn't find anything wrong with her. This has gone on for months.

Oh and she is a shorthaired cat who is brushed quite often. She doesn't do the coughing thing.

She only drinks water, i dont give her milk. Saw the vet again and he said to feed her chicken and white fish for a week to see if this helps. Also live yogart? odd but i'll give it a try

This is not normal. I would definitely get a second opinion. You could certainly try some of the higher end foods that are specially formulated for sensative stomachs. Many times, physical exams and "regular" blood work will not show anything. You should really take the kitty to another vet if this one seems not to be finding anything. Document everything. When she eats, how her poop looks, everything. I had the same problem and it wound up being panreatitis. They really don't know what that comes from in felines, but there is a medicine (ursidol) that is cheap, if filled at a human pharmacy, that can completely get the problem under control.

Our cat was sick daily, after most meals. The vet said she had an inflamed stomach and probably an ulcer. This was caused by eating dry cat food, which made her stomach sensitive, then once it was sensitive and inflamed any food at all would make her vomit. The vomiting gradually got worse over a few weeks until it became daily. The vet gave her a steroid shot and a course of tablets and for about ten days she was only to eat cooked chicken breast. This is easy on cat's stomachs and so she was able to eat it without sicking. I did have to give her 4 pills a day so my hands were a mass of scratches. She is now only allowed to eat pure meats or wet cat food - dry or moist cat food will trigger her inflammation again so she must never eat it.

There are several reasons that I am aware of why cats are sick. I am by no means veterinary trained but have had cats most of my life so can speak from my own experience only. Cats have their own method of self medication. If they are under the weather or are missing some nutrients in their diet they often turn to eating grass. This is prone to making them sick/cause loose stools which is in effect cleansing their system. The other cause which could be possible is fur balls. If your cat cleans itself on a regular basis then fur builds up in their gullet which they consequently purposely cough up which appears to us as them being sick. Long haired cats are more prone to this so it would happen more frequently but short haired cats also do it but less frequently. Hope this helps. You probably know the habits of your cat better than anyone else so If none of this seems plausible then I would seek professional veterinary advice. Carol

Does she gobble her food? One of my cats used to gobble her food down so fast she was very often sick afterwards. It was a real pain so i started feeding her smaller portions of food more often. I had to get a clockwork feeder to do the daily feeds but it worked and it trained her to eat small portions at a time.
Might be worth checking with your vets though, never worth risking the health of your cat for the sake of a trip.

maybe she has an allergy to the food u are giving her..why not cut out the meat for a few days and just giver dried food.....I know cats are meat eaters but its worth a try.
Or u could try another brand of food, if u haven't already..
Otherwise seek help from ur vet...

Probably alergic to the fillers or chemicals in the food and it makes them sick. Buy premium high quality food from a pet store.

Vet time! She's going to become dehydrated from throwing up so much. It's a good indicator that something is going wrong inside of her.

Just on the safe side, check her for kidney failure. This is how my cat which died last month died. I don't want to scare you but if you find it quick enough you might can help reverse the effects.
