The limit is however many languages there in the world - assuming we're talking about someone with intelligence. They've not found the limits of the brain yet in terms of acquiring knowledge. Nor are they quite sure about how many languages there are...

I think the record was 28. A french guy called Ralph Egaler or smth like that. He died in 1875. Among his spoken languages was Latin, English, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, Romanian, Dutch, Finnish, Swedish, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Greek, Ancient Greek, Russian, Afrikaans, Tagalog, Arabic, Hindi...God the list goes on and on... Oh btw, he dies at age of 36. AMAZING OR WHAT.

Don't know good question...my girlfriend knows 4...I had a prof who spoke 15...who knows?
