I bring this up because there isn't any emperical scientific proof which suports this theory, If there is please post the source.
And the reason why I posted this in religiouse section is because people say that it is a materialistic belief.

People here seem to like using the word brainwashed, I am very open minded just remember that. I look at fact then decide what to believe and not to believe.
Thank you guys for posting sources I will look at them.

I have read some facts which invaledates Darwin's theory for example the fossil findings. The fossil finding prooves the sudden explosion of one group at the expense of another instead of gradual evolution.

I have studied Darwin's theory and I could not seem to find any Emperical proof, please post some sources if you believe other wise. Mutation is one of the strongist pilers of Darwinism but scientists have not observed that it causes living beings to develop in the other hand they have observed that it harms the organism.

Here you go. A couple of links with examples about observed evolution/speciation. I spent less than 5 minutes looking, I am sure if you really search you will find more.
You should avoid the word darwinism if you mean evolution. It's not quite the same thing. Darwinism refers to to the theories as proposed by Darwin. There has been research done since Darwin, so of course his ideas have been refined and expanded upon.
And for evolution being just a belief system, you should check out this link: http://www.theonion.com/content/node/39512. Gravity is another of those materialistic belief systems. You can add it to your collection.

The only facet of evolution that has enough evidence to be a theory is evolution within a species. No one doubts that species adapt and evolve. Humans are growing bigger and taller. What does not have enough evidence to get out of the Hypothesis stage is evolution changing from one species to another.
Creationists and Christians are said to start with a theory and try to find (or fit) the science into their theory. That is true. If I find a apple on the ground and I see more in the tree I am going start my theory with the thought that the apple on the ground came from the tree too. They believe the Bible story of Creation so they try to find proof for their theory. It is exactly the same thing most scientists do with the theory of evolution. They have come up with fossils over and over for years, screaming headlines shouting about the great evolutionary find, or the great anthropology treasure it is. Only to find it was nothing, usually misidentified. But they were so anxious to prove evolution true to the stupid Christians they didn't wait to confirm what they were looking at. See Java Man, Piltdown man, Nebraska man. When they talk about Creationists starting with a theory and trying to fill in the blanks, they are the pot calling the kettle black

If you are talking about the studies and theories that Darwin proposed, of course they are science. Here is the definition of science from the American Heritage Dictionary: "The observation, identification, description, experimental investigation, and theoretical explanation of phenomena."
Darwin used the scientific method to arrive at his conclusions, unlike most religious people here in this forum. You can not have a predetermined idea, like the creation story, and force the facts to support it and call it good science. What Darwin did was to look at it with an open mind using the physical evidence at hand.
I dont know of a single agnostic or atheistic scientist that does not accept the evidence of evolution. Even the vast majority of religious scientists accept it. I dont know of a single reputable one that doesnt.
PS Gravity is a theory too. Maybe you better hang on today in case you fall off the earth suddenly.

What theory are you talking about? "Darwinism" sounds like a religion, like people idolizing Darwin.
Now, if you're talking about evolution, of course it's science, and of course there's empirical evidence supporting it - essentially ALL of the genetic mapping studies, observations of evolution as it occurs, etc. You can look at the alt.talk.origins archives if you are unfamiliar with it - they've got a great FAQ that will help you understand this.
I suspect that if you're throwing around words like "Darwinism", it's because you've been going to the creationist propaganda sites. I'm afraid that's just going to rot your mind - fill you with all sorts of BS that'll keep you from understanding the natural world. I strongly suggest you stay away from those liars.
====================
Hmm. I don't see the word "brainwashed" here at all, and if you were "open-minded" you wouldn't be reciting the creationist propaganda lines ("Darwinism", that stuff about fossils).
You would do better to learn about evolution before trying to discredit it.

Good question.
This is exactly the ground where christians would have much greater success if they read about Darwin and the truth of his work.
His work matched brilliantly for all species, except one- the human being. Controversially, Darwin broke with his long time scientific partner and proclaimed mankind also was subject to the same evidence, yet this was a piece of scientific fraud, still perpetuated today.
Humanity and our physical uniqueness and separateness, in spite of our genetic similarities has always been a paradox. One that was not solved by Darwin.
Darwinism is a religion, just like any other, with its orthodoxy and its zealots. The only problem for Intelligent Designers is that people who support Darwinian theories have usually read more than a couple of books.

I'm not sure what you mean by Darwinism, but if you're talking about biological evolution, there is plenty of scientific proof to support it. If you had read any serious text about evolution you would know that.

No, "Darwinism" is a religious belief which was founded based upon Darwin's theory of evolution. There is proof to support the theory that species evolve to adapt to their environment, but there is much more to science than that.

dear lone wolf ,
u r 100% on target. THERE IS NO ADEQUATE PROOF TO PROVE DARWINISM.
IN FACT IN 2003-2004 U.S GOVT HAD ASKED ONE OF THE MOST PRESTIGEOUS UNIVERSITIES TO DO A STUDY ON THE SAME.and verify the creation theory.
