I know this is a good sleep but she goes to daycare 3 days a week and I need her routine to be the same which means waking at 7am. She sleeps well through the day 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon and then i have to put her down for another 1/2 hour at 5pm to get her through till 7.30. She is on 3 meals a day and she's not night waking unless she has rolled onto her tummy and cant get back.

This is most likly just a phase she is goin through...You may try to see if you can keep her up a tad longer in the evening or forgo tha last 1/2 hour nap (I know it is hard) If that is not working, then just let her play in her beed quietly for a bit...adding 5 mins a day to the time she is in there alone...you may find that she will fall back off to sleep on her own. Another thought may be to ask the childcare to give her one 3 hour nap in the middle of the day instead of 2, 2 hour naps...they could try to give her 15 -20 min cat naps to tide her through the morning and afternoon. It may take a while, but soon (It sounds liek very soon for you) she will be on a great schedule. Keep up the great job.

Kids usually regulate their sleeping patterns by the age of 4.

Short naps make my kids even crankier and they never sleep well that evening.

The half hour nap at dinner might be the cause of the problem. She may not really need that little nap. Try putting her to bed at 7pm and she how goes with that. She might just sleep through the morning.

I dont see much problem with this sleep duration. Forget about the textbook advise on hours of sleep. All human beings are built differently and some do sleep more than others.
However, you might check to see her activity levels at the daycare. Is she getting enough exercise? Is she tiring herself enough for uninterrupted sleep?

Hi, try and make sure her room is really dark so the light wont wake her, also are there noises that could wake her, like the heating coming on, just a thought?

That is a long time to sleep their diapers are wet by that time and they are uncomfortable. Try changing brands of diapers.
