cardio, all you need to do is 30 mins 5 times a week to burn fat. Make sure the pace is about 75 - 80% your maximum heart rate. then you can start to do abdominal exercises every second day, especially the roman chair for lower abdominals. Eliminate salt from the diet and watch the diet, low fat and a reasonable amount of carbs.

Try High Intensity Interval Training -(HIIT). At least that's what I think it's called. For example, you would sprint for thirty seconds, walk for a minute. Repeat for about twenty minutes at least four times a week an d see how you go. The principle remains the same for whatever you're doing, be it treadmill, bike, whatever. It puts your body in a position where it chooses to use fat instead of glycogen (carbs) for energy, and increases your metabolic rate for up to a day or so. Unfortunately, the biggest myth in fitness is 'spot removal' of fat from various parts of your body - you just burn fat in a predetermined genetic way. HIIT has been very good to me. Lost about 15kg in twelve weeks with it - not to say a diet facelift didn't help...Good Luck!

I know you are looking for exercises, but focus on a healthy diet. Fruits, vegetables, and quality protein will help eliminate the fat faster than crunches. Adding cardio as the previous poster suggested is ideal.

I honestly wouldn't waste time on Cardio, resistance training has been proven to lose fat quicker and more efficently.
Do Cardio if you would like a better general fitness...
For love handles and lowed ABS I would do hanging leg raises and some swiss ball crunches. 'Jacknife' is the best, if you research on google there will be plenty of websites showing correct form. Difficult to isolate lower abs but the Jacknife is superior.

If you have a fat stomach, the only way you can reduce your fat is by doing aerobic exercises like walking, rowing and swimming. If aerobic exercises are done regularly over a period of time, you will gradually lose weight. More details at http://www.toloseweight.org/losestomachfat.html
