in that order it develops, Passion is what drives, intimacy is a natural progression, followed by commitment being the most important for me/ and in a loss commitment will go first for me because of its importance. followed by intimacy natural digression for me, and finally passion the reason being passion is so strong it can carry me longer than the rest all on its own. Once passion is gone were talking bottom of the 9th 2 outs,, score a gazzillion to one. close the door turn out the lights..

Commitment. I want to know that the floozy I just met at the Hoot and HollerTavern (real name of a tavern in Oregon by the way. A classy upscale place. If you want to spit you have to spit into the spittoon) thinks enough of me to commit herself to staying overnight and paying for her taxi ride home. Now, that is commitment. This is kind of a chick question, but as a guy, passion would be the first to develop and the first to fade. You can still be intimate and committed long after some of the passion fades.

Intimacy then passion and then commitment. Mine never fades, it always comes to an abrupt stop.

If you define passion as the burning desire to touch and....another person, then that comes first. Now, if you define passion in something deeper and more consuming then not. Commitment comes only after you take a look at the pig in the poke.

What a great question!!

My sense of passion and commitment don't ever fade. It's the intimacy I have less control of.

But then again, my Trojan years have yet to really begin! ;)

Unfortunately commitment is there long after the others fade.

Commitment usually equals responsibility; therefore, it quite often is the first to fade. I think that you put the three of them in order as far as quickness is concerned.
