Some regular Md's don't take it.. Medicaid covers ONLY necessary procedures. Those that take Medicaid get about 3 x less than they normally would with private pay or insurance.. IF you are in an accident or something and are disfigured, they may cover it but don't bet on it.

BECAUSE PLASTIC SURGERY IS ELECTIVE !!! this insurance is meant for people to use for sickness/illness/emergency... if you have a medically necessary need for plastic surgery it may actually be covered, but for vanity reasons... nope. Think about it, why would the government and hard working tax payers want to pay for someones tummy tuck or breast implants?

Because Medicaid doesn't accept them and their type of surgery in their group of necessary, life saving operations and procedures.
