Your from this faith, or from that faith. Depending on where you live in the world, and what your families faith is. It is like blind faith. Because we are told this is true, or that is true. Even if it sounds to unreal to be true. Like praying to the Sun Gods, Or praying to a rock.

Leave them alone who wants to be a grown up stick in the mud adult anyway?
As long as they look after their adult responsibilities that is good enough for me.

I don't agree with the question, but I do love some of the answers!

"It takes a lot of maturity to believe in something you cant see"
I fail to see any logic or reasoning behind this statement. Children have invisible friends, believe in santa, the tooth fairy, etc. Is this mature?

"When the world is telling you you are fools to believe what you do. Takes a lot of maturity to not give up."
Again, strange logic. I assume this person is in the UK or the US, where the majority of people are Christians. So when you say the world, you can't mean the majority of people. So amybe the 'world' refers to the natural world...

"you cant knock other peoples beliefs"
Now this was a funny answer, because quite obviously you can. Anybody here not want to knock the scientologists' beliefs?

We're told many lies as we grow up, to make the world easier to understand. As we grow, some of these are 'overwritten.'

Santa Claus, for example, is something we assume to be real when young and later replace with our parents, and even later, ourselves.

God gives children a moral compass. But these children still grow. Some of them will understand science or be exposed to other such information, thus overwriting the previously ingrained assumption about the existence of a deity. Some of them will not, and they will remain religious.

In a sense Yes ,to the first question. Jesus said we need to be like Children. But grow up no!! It takes a lot of maturity to believe in something you cant see. When the world is telling you you are fools to believe what you do. Takes a lot of maturity to not give up.

We are to come to Jesus as little children- which means trusting Him wholeheartedly. When we become believers we are still to trust as children but grow in our faith.
