keep it simple and easy. When I do my pushups, I do it on my knuckles. That's the way I learnt it when I took Martial Arts for a few years.

Also, make sure your doing it for yourself, and not to impress somebody else. I find your more likely to stick to your goal, if it's personal, and not just a gimmick to try and impress somebody else (like some girl at school or some co-worker.)

P.S. I wouldn't recommend girls push up if your serious. And like the first person said, is what I would also recommend, about 50-100 push-ups in the morning. I used to do 50 push-ups if I was a bit late for my classes, plus all the other exercise that they made me do like crunches and squats.

Hi,
I'm 66 years old and have been doing the exercises I was trained in during my tour with the 82nd Airborne some 40 plus years ago!
I do about 50 push ups every morning. There are exceptions when stuff comes up or I just don't have the time, but, I don't miss more than two or three days a month.
I also do sit ups-about 150 of the short ones. Just with the head and shoulders off the floor. ..and remember to keep the knees up.
I have some small dumbells 10 and 20 lbs...I use these to increase the biceps, but I'm not so much concerned with appearance as general health.
A walk is very good for you, too! Particularly the respiratory system!

i am working like hell on my upper arms, it is a very hard job, even harder than getting a six pack on your stomach. anyway, when i was doing push ups i got just bigger arms, without any muscles visible on them. so i say push ups are not even for amrs - they re for pecs. i say u search on internet for iron work outs, there they will show u with pictures how to do. i could have told u but it is very hard to explain and i don't know the names in english

general pushups will specially build your chest and back. you will could save your hand down the physique and close in as this might build your triceps. you will choose some dumbells to artwork your biceps rather...
