The rule for HER is that she shouldn't DATE anyone who is HALF her age + 7.
That means half of 40 is 20 and add 7. That equals 27.
At the very minimum without officially robbing the cradle, she should not be dating men under 27 years old.
You do not qualify.
You are thinking about having "relations" with a woman who is literally old enough to be your mother.

I'm not sure where Da Man got his "rule", but I find that people that follow rules blindly aren't very happy and miss out on much.
Don't worry about what is "normal". There is no such thing. If you would like to see her for awhile, see her. Marriage is probably a little far fetched but there is nothing wrong or weird with your attraction. 41 isn't ancient or disgusting ya know. Lots of older women younger men couples do very well (I've been the older woman), having a great time together.
So, don't be so hard on yourself.
