We've definitely been there with our littlest one, who absolutely refused to take medicines, even when they were good tasting. Here's a little trick we learned awhile back when you absolutely have to give her medicine and she won't swallow. Using a syringe, put some in her mouth, then blow sharply and quick in her face. One quick blow should be all you need. I don't know how or why this works, but her immediate reaction will be to swallow. We had to do this with our daughter when she was younger and would fight us, and no matter how hard she was crying, as soon as my husband would blow in her face, she'd swallow. I think a dr or someone told us this trick at some point, and it was the only way to give her meds when we were desperate without hurting her. Hope this helps and good luck to you!

I found with my 2 year old son, when he had to take an intestinal medicine for 2 weeks a good way to make this happen easily:
I told him the medicine would help his tummy and butt (he had a rash from diarrhea) stop hurting. After a while, he began asking for the medicine and enjoyed drinking it himself from the plastic measuring cup.
Now, anytime he needs medicine, I tell him it will make "whatever" stop hurting. I always put it in that plastic cup which comes with OTC medicine, not a spoon or a syringe. He enjoys drinking it himself.
