Hello,i have suffered psoriasis for over 30 years now,and i am hospitalised for around 4 months of the year,i have 85% coverage all over my body ,face genitals &hands and feet. There is NO CURE no magic potions!first off you MUST get refered to a dermotologist immediatly, insist on it.there are many treatments, as you have heard, which will ease it for you and perhaps if your lucky get rid of it,The basic care is bathing or showering-always remember water makes your skin dry -use a oil treatment like Diprobath in your water, then apply a hydrous cream on infected areas-allow time for this everyday.you may be given oral medication such as the ones mentioned (a lot of people have results with methotextrate)but i am sure your consultant will find something to help, there are new drugs coming out regularly but as its not a killer disease its at the bottom of the research tree, good luck i you truly hope are able to beat it ,you have my heartfelt sorrow, try ignoring that helps too,if you wish to talk or learn more feel free to IM me.THERE'S NOT MUCH I DONT KNOW ABOUT IT.

I had a 13 year history of psoriasis, though I was in good health otherwise. But these severe large, thick and scaly excoriated plaques on my neck, ears, trunk and limbs ruined the way I was leading my life. I would be with red, inflamed itchy skin for most part of the year and these silvery scales would seem to be erupting without any reason. To make matters worse, blisters would appear over already red and itching skin. It was living hell.

I was treated with various options but nothing seemed to be working. Some of the treatments that I underwent in this depressing period of 13 years included tar preparation, tropical steroids and anthralin. I was also given light therapy many times but everything I tried would give me temporary relief.

And soon, after a few days I would be plagued with the situation again. In one of those moments when I was completely lost I stumbled upon this website just by chance. I read it and felt that as if someone had put the story my life on this web page. I was thoroughly convinced that if ANYONE can cure me of condition, it would be you.

And was I right, or what. I started recovering within 3 days of starting this treatment. Something that had become a painful part of me for 13 years was actually getting healed! My ears are healed and my neck is smooth again!. I am a month into the treatment and I have never felt better in my life!

I'm not a psoriasis sufferer but I have worked with people who are and I can help. You say you have spent loads on things that don't work .... there is no such thing as a miracle cream!!
What you need to do is to change your daily personal care routines. Most things that people use in the Bath, shower. to wash hair etc etc irritate skin conditions such as psoriasis and so start a vicious circle making things worse.
I recommend completely natural products that contain aloe for healing and no harsh cleansers or astringents or chemicals. First we soothe the condition then we make sure that all the products you use on your body are helping - not hindering the healing process.
Then we need to look at your diet. You are what you eat, in more ways than one.
All the products I recommend carry a 30 day money back guarantee!! But I guarantee you will they will work. Most people feel the benefit straight away and see great improvement within days.
Oh, and by the way - I don't charge for my help and advice!!
Take a look at the link below.

Psoriasis is a disease that takes place when the body’s immune system mistakenly believes healthy skin cells to be enemy cells and starts to produce many more new cells to replace these cells. This is the reason why there is no cure for psoriasis and medications applied to treat psoriasis are only able to remove the symptoms temporarily. Don't go the "cream route", it's only just a waste of time and money. Been there Done that!

You need to read "Psoriasis Free For Life" by Katy Wilson if you want to cure your psoriasis for good. Available online also @ http://www.psoriasisforeverfree.com It's a book that shows you how to cure psoriasis naturally in a few days. I cured my psoriasis permanently in 6 days after reading this book. Good luck!

I've had psoriasis since i was a small child and I'm mid 20's now.
I haven't ever spent lots of money on creams, poor you! My GP referred me to the dermatologist at my local hospital, i now have sun bed treatment once a year.
It last about 3 mths but completely gets rid of my psoriasis and it stays away for 6mths to a year before coming back (this varies from person to person).
And the best news is that you don't have to pay a penny!
A real relief for the summer as you can bear all and not feel self conscious.
The trouble with some of the medications that can be prescribed is that they can cause other health problems and most Dr only prescribe them as real last resort if your condition is serve!
Hope all goes well.

I probably have never had psoriasis as severe as yours sounds and would normally recommend to follow the advice of your GP or skin specialist (have you asked your GP if you can be referred to a Skin Specialist?)

Seeking a natural alternative may not prove useful but I can suggest may be trying washing with Aqueous Cream (avoid all perfumes in soap, other creams etc.)

Try also using Rescue Remedy Cream as you would normally use Betnovate cream but only if you have decided not to use Betnovate.

Invest in a Sun Lamp or go on a Sun Bed Once or twice a week although I would get the advice of your skin specialist if you have one about the sun lamp and sun bed usage. It may be that the use of the sun lamp will need to be set at a lower temperature and or for longer or shorter periods, you don't want to get more skin damage.

I think I read somewhere once that psoriasis can be caused by a B6 or B12 deficiency - you may have to research this a bit to determine - a B group vitamin may be better.

I have suffered from psoriasis since I was 13, I am now 41, but I've yet to hear anything about a cure, as there isn't one. There are many treatments to relieve the condition, but nothing that gets rid of it. What I do know from research that's been done is that it tends to run in families, it's more prevalent in girls than boys and stress exacerbates the condition. I don't know of any natural treatment as naturopathy is not an area I've explored. Sorry I can't help further, but that's as much as I know.

***BLOOD PURIFIER***
I do not suffer from Psoriasis, but bear with me for my answer, please.

One of my sources for herbal treatments is a book called The How to Herb Book. It says that your condition should be treated with a Blood Purifier Combination.

I happen to be taking one such combination that I made myself because my face is broken out (kind of like acne) because of a nasal infection that got into my blood stream. Conditions such as your and mine are initially caused by blood impurities. The blood purifier is improving my skin and I think it could help you.
Here are the herbs that I put in my Blood Purifier Combination because they are what I had on hand:
Dandelion Root, Burdock Root, Yarrow

The book also says to apply Aloe Vera externally.
It also lists single herbs to try as Comfrey, Red Clover, Slippery Elm, Yellow Dock

I just thought the Blood Purifier angle might help you. Most people treat the symptoms and not the actual condition. This is a way of getting to the root of the problem and thus eliminating the symptoms altogether!
