There's a program called "spyware." My husband got it off the internet. He said he looked up keylogger. He said the program is called SPY RECON. Let me tell ya, it works great. Cost is around $29.00 and you need to down load it off of the internet. You can set it where your daughter won't even know that the program is running. We've had it for a while. We have an out of control hormone raging 14 year old we are trying to provide structure for. You can see what ever they are typing, who they are having conversations with, what the conversation is, and who they are emailing. It's well worth the investment. Busted our kid on a lot of really bad things that she was conjuring up. Yeah, it's sneaky. I know. But, you have to stay one step ahead of these teenagers now a days. The look on her face is priceless, when, you confront her with some of the things she's trying to get away with. Meeting up with older boys, sneaking out of the house, etc.

I wouldn't be overly concerned. Generally when she is saying that it is prolly because it is a boy that she likes, or she just wants some privacy. If you really want to know you can get a keylogger from any shareware program on the net. They are free, but they log EVERY stroke so don't take advantage of knowing her passwords, etc.

Also, make sure you computer is TROJAN FREE before installing it. If not you are allowing anyone who hacks your computer to have a written record of all of your passwords and any info she may have said in a chat, etc.

more than likely she knows what she is doing. If your worried about her hooking up with someone over the internet it prolly wont happen. Let her be a teenager just make sure she is safe by knowing where she is going all the time. If you see her making a mistake then let her learn from her mistakes on her own. DOnt spy on your 17 year old daughter

17 she is not a child, if you have not established communication and developed a good relationship with her by now, she'd just find another means location to go on line if she found out you were spying. Do not spy or try the easy way out talk with your daughter. I'm sure she did not jusy trun 17 either but is closer to her 18th birthday, she could shut you out of her life altogether if she so chooses.

type in "keylogger" on Yahoo or Google, it will bring up software that will help you identify, secretly, who she is chatting with.

if you want to follow her whereabouts in the car, there are units you can put on the car that will trace her whereabouts on a GPS unit and are 100% reliable. They will also print out an exact copy of the roads she used and places she stopped. This will tell you where she has been, where she has been spending time and you can use it to identify if she is being honest with you.

Chances are, however, be prepared for a shock when you find out she isnt being honest.

i think the bigger problem is you not trusting your almost adult child...i'm sorry but she is going to do what she is going to do...she's old enough to make her own decisions, just make sure that she knows how to be safe online! open up the lines of communication and STOP TRYING TO SPY!!!
