Unfortunately, you cannot put the words 'Acoustic Solutions' and 'good sound' in the same sentence. Sorry
Acoustic Solutions kit is cheap to buy. That is because they are made using poor quality (cheap) components and as a result, has a poor quality sound. Those speakers are not beech. They are low quality MDF, covered in an artificial beech veneer.
To give you a price comparison - the speaker CABLES in my system cost over £300...

About 7 years ago, I purchase a Sony surround system which included the speakers, speaker wires and the receiver. It cost about $325. It served its purpose. It was pretty nice for movies and was booming for my parties.
But this year, I have upgraded and spend about 3-4k. Ten times more than the other system.
Yamaha RX-V2700, monster 14AWG speak cables, Mirage Omnisat v2 FS, SAT and center.
The sound is fantastic compare the the older one. Is it ten times better??? If you have the money, I think it is more then 10 time better in sound and clarity.
I have also look into the B&W XT4, Paradigm Millenia 200, 300..

I bought an Acoustic solutions 5.1 two years ago and it is the best looking 5.1 I have ever seen, it is in wooden beech. Its cost me £80 out of Argos and its only capable of 105w but I live in a one bedroom flat and that is fine for me I have never had a problem with the set. My ideal set up would be a high powered amp and floor standing speakers but they cost lots more.
