In Islam any kind of fun is unacceptable to Allah

I suppose that this should be logically so. I am not a Muslim scholar but, there is a difference between making a statue and adoring it. Therein lies all the difference between understanding the reason behind ordering anything and slavishly following the sacred writings. Besides which, did many people in Saudi Arabia at the time of Mahomed know of the existence of snow ? More to the point, is tobacco smoking Halal ? I do think so simply because at the time of the Prophet and of his Semitic fore-runners, tobacco's existence was not even known ! Why then make a fuss about pork when tobacco gets away with murder !

This is a very telling thread and is a perfect demonstration of how the british public is being radicalized by a hate filled media.

The government is deliberately feeding the news agenda to generate a climate of fear in the wider society. The long-term objective is what Blair said in his speech in Los Angeles, that the west must confront political Islam. This is by propaganda and deceit not by sincere debate.

Muslims are being demonised in order to facilitate the passage of new measures and legislation.

It must be remembered that all of these efforts are despite the clear evidence from the head of the British Army, senior Cabinet officials, reports and leaks that foreign policy is driving 'extremism' and violence. A matter the government has publicly denied.

Allah sums up the mindset of the responses in this topic in the Quran:

"Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse."

If you are indeed free thinkers then investigate Islam for yourselves.

Snow men aren't representative of a human being.

They look nothing like a person, have no arms or legs and their noses are carrots.

It IS fun to build a snowman. God didn't create the world to be a miserable, hateful place.

You could always make it look like it is lifeless: a line around the neck etc.

according to my belief system (Islamic), it is halal,
here is a list of things that are haram in the Quran:
1) eating pigs
2) leaving Islam
3)following satan, i.e doing evil
4) suiciding
5)teaching others Islam wrongly
6)(for men) not listening to ur wives and not fulfilling their wishes
7) adultery
and a few other minor incidents to be avoided. Do not follow all the Hadith, some are not authentic. Things like music and drawing pictures are allowed in Islam AS LONG AS THEY DO NOT BECOME ANY FORM OF WORSHIP OF A GOD OTHER THAN ALLAH. More importantly have a nice day, and make sure u get the snowman right. Allah bless u and ASSALAMUALAIKUM

Not sure but I'm pretty sure the pc brigade will have a go and say its sexist to call it a snowman and with there petty small mindedness say it should be called a snow-person.

only if it has a turban with a bomb :-).
Seriously, the fact that such a question can even be asked suggests that the entire belief structure is infantile in the extreme, however, we already know that religion tends to appeal to those of limited intelligence and education.
