Add the miles

Derby 7 miles
Leeds 82 miles
Durham 155miles.

Now the answer wasn't 244, 247, 148,3 or 4. Apparently there was no answer because every caller was wrong. But what would the answer be? Or if you saw the end of the show what was the answer?

Yep, I think Slim boy is correct, there are 3 'miles' in the question. It's a kind of trick question to get as many people as possible to phone in.

I watched one last year and the question was 'Name a vegetable beginning with the letter C'. dozens upon dozens of people phone in with every possible vegetable beginning with C, but none of the answers were correct. I sat there for hours just to find out the answer.

I eventually gave up and went to bed not knowing the answer and promised myself never to watch such rubbish ever again and I've kept to my promise (In fact I dont even have a TV anymore!)

I'm sure that before the 'question' is put up they must work out how many silly bl**dy answers you can make out of these childish riddles and cross off the answers as the callers come through, leaving the most obscure, could also be they ask the callers who get through their answer before hand and only put on people who are duplicating or just quessing. Whichever way it's a s*dding rip off.

I think the answer will be whatever they decide to make up that nobody else has called in with until they have taken enough money on the phone with it to pay out a prize. Then they will announce some random number or winner at about 4am with absolutely no explanation of why that is the answer. Who polices these people I wonder?

I didn't see the show, but I think the answer might be 155. If this was a road sign and you were 7 miles outside of Derby, you would have 155 miles total to travel.

Perhaps the answer is 155 miles
Here's the logic behind my thinking
You drive to Derby and you've clocked up 7 miles - you then drive to Leeds and your total distance travelled is 82 miles - By the time you've done your last stop at Durham you've drove 155 miles.
It's a stupid answer, but then it's a stupid programme!!!

may be the answer is 3 as the word miles is said 3 times and just ignore the numbers. those shows are a right scam by the way.

ok peeps, heres the answer
are you ready?
well if you write it out you will find,
Derby 1 mile, 2 miles, 3 miles and so on
same with Leeds
Leeds 1 mile, 2 miles, 3miles and so on
you get my drift.....
Durham the same
well it goes like this, as Derby is 1 mile, it is not a miles, still with me? so minus 1 mile from each distance and you get your answer,
which is if I'm not mistaken 241 miles (miles) not mile
I thank you .......
it is 241
