I'm having a nose job at the end of this month. I have been told by a friend that your body can build up a tollerance to the drug Ketamine. I have recently been taking ket for recreational purposes (Please dont shoot me down and tell me that I shouldn't be taking drugs, I believe in freedom of choice)

I was wondering if the surgeon s likely to use Ketamine for my operation? If so will i have to mention to him that I have took it for recreational purposes?

Thanks

if you believe in freedom of choice why do you care what WE think.

I hope it rots and drops off , like Michael Jackson's..

You should definitely mention that to him. Certain drugs can remain in your system for a long time and depending on the drug, they can cause you to bleed more during the operation.

Also, the presence of certain drugs can lead to small red spots appearing on your nose after the surgery. These are not supposed to be very noticeable, but it is something that I'm sure you would want to avoid.

I do not know what effect this drug that you take will have on you, but you have to mention it and you need to stop taking the drug. If you don't want to stop using it, at least reframe from using is for the next couple of weeks before and after the surgery.

Also, I don't know where you live, but if you live in the U.S. you can go online to the official government website of the state that you live in and check and see if the doctor you are seeing has had any complaints against them.

I'm sure there are also websites outside of the U.S. that do the same.

Good luck.

I am not familiar with the drug Ketamine, but I do know that ur doctor should be aware of all medications pre-surgery, to prevent unwanted interactions between different drugs., which can prove harmful, even fatal in some instances. If it is a street drug, he is not likely to report you, he is more interested in ur safety during the surgical procedure. Don`t hold back any medications or drugs u have taken. Good luck with ur new look.

Yes, k is part ingredient. Stop taking it for the time being, and inform your dr...as there are reports of people waking up during proceedures and freaking out. But if you are about to have a nose job...you should not be taking any rec drugs for at least 2 months before hand.... and stop smoking for 3 mounths before hand and 3 months after.

I think you shouldn't get a recreational surgery that you can't even spell. I'm sure your nose is fine the way it is. Just leave yourself alone! God made you the way he made you on purpose.
