I need help by way of web site which support you with free software to convert the audio cassette to MP3 format & store them in the CDs. I was told that many softwares are available, but I need the best at free of cost.

Put simply, you will need to connect your cassette player to your PC soundcard, then play the cassette whilst recording on your PC. A step-by-step guide is available at:

I have used ‘Magix Audio Cleaning Lab’ and ‘Audacity’ – Audacity is particularly popular since it is free!
If you record to WAV format, expect file sizes of around 10MB per minute, or 1MB per minute for MP3 (at 128kbps).
Once you have your digital versions of the recording on your PC, simply burn them on to a CD (Nero burning software or similar..). If you use Magix Audio Cleaning, the software will burn an audio CD for you without needing additional software (assuming you have a CD writing drive of course!)

There are so many available in net, if you are looking for Audio cassette to mp3, then you should have some knowledge about that. you can use winamp also else "windac" is very good.
procedure:
Connect your audio out to the PC "line-in" start the tape and record it from PC. it ll take the play time... and you can save it in wav / MP3 format. later you can copy it to any media like CD or disk drives

If you get UBUNTU ( http://www.ubuntu.com ). You will get all the free software that you will ever need. You can dual boot it with your current operating system.
