Welsh whilst official and taught in schools is only used by 20% of the population in Wales (2.9 million people so about 600,000 speak welsh).
German and French are taught in most schools (Though children in Wales have to drop one to make room for Welsh lessons which are compulsary), France used to be the most popular tourist destination, Germany is more of a business destination.

Welsh is the second most popular OFFICIAL language. However, the way things are going in the UK, in about 20 years it could be Aramaic.
