You're right, you need medical help, not Y!A. Please get to a proper medical facility ASAP.

I am presuming the blood is red in color rather than a dark tarry color and mixed with the stools.

If it is bright red it is lower down close to the rectum or anus. It may be a fissure in ano ( a tear in the lining of the anus that has a blind ending) or it may be a varicose vein also known as a hemorrhoid.

Blood is usually seen when a motion you pass is either dry or rough in some way and it irritates the wall of the vein causing it to bleed for a while.

Fissure in ano has to be corrected surgically, as do hemorrhoids but for the latter relief can be found in using a hemorrhoid creme till surgical removal is possible.

To get an informed opinion you need to get a referral to a Gastroenterologist who can pass a small scope into the region to inspect the site and give you the correct diagnosis and discuss the best option for treatment

it sorta depends how the blood looks. if it's red and looks like typical blood then it means you've got bleeding somewhere near the end of your intestines or you rectum. if your bm looks black and tarry then it means you're bleeding from somewhere higher up like you're stomach. there are lots of reasons why you might be bleeding inside from something serious like an ulcer or laceration(a cut)...to something like hemmorhoids.
so either your dr. is stupid or you're not telling him about your bleeding because as soon as there is blood after a BM it's something that NEEDS to be addressed. you dont want an open wound where your poo comes out because there's a high chance of infection.
go see another dr

Please go and get a second opinion! or even a third. your GP should have gave you a little sample jar cause tests can determine what type of bleeding and if theres any abnormalities there may be, if not they could send you for a colonoscpy thing where they knock you out and put a small camera up there and then they can do a visual inspection that could save your life. good luck

I would diagnose this as an ulcer. Get medical attention ASAP and try to relieve stress to lose the probability of another ulcer erupting. Try not working to hard and have some leisure time for yourself.

Don't ask here. As a registered nurse, I advise you to seek medical attention. Get your physician to check our stool for occult blood. If necessary, you will a colonoscopy.

Get a second opinon if you feel the need after the test.

You need to get a second opinion and fast. Dont damage yourself by not seeking medical advice. The doctor is wrong!
