Let us say money was not a problem, And you had to pick a company that manufactures jet airplanes.

What would be the model, size, price [if known] and manufacturer of your dream passenger jet?

Thanking everyone in advance for their time and attention in this matter.

If there are several great answers this will go to a vote, thanks Tim.

Would you pilot or copilot the plane? Or just make arrangements for others to fly the plane?

Hi, I live in Wichita, Kansas, Lear Jet, Cessna, Beechcraft, and Boeing are built here this is the air capital of the world. I believe I would go with the Lear Jet 45 or the Citation X , both of these are top of line passenger jets, and they have flight centers that you can learn to fly these jets yourself. Lear Jet is considered the Rolls Royce of personal jets. But I am parcel to the Cessna X because I was a Class A Aircraft Furniture Builder and spent time in the X's lot of plushness and gold plating on all hardware including the faucets in the restroom. Plush leather swiveling seats with power sunshades on every window and a cockpit straight out of Star Wars. This I believe is the fastest of the personnel jets. I believe these jets are around 8 million and up depending on your furniture and interior options the you personally design to your taste.

I would have to go with either a Lear 60 XR or a Challenger601. Both of these airplanes can fly into nearly any airport and if your looking for the real reason to own a private jet, its the not having to deal with big airports and delays, thats why with a small plane you fly out of a small airport and no delays. Given everyone wants the 747-400 with all the cool stuff, but I once read that only 5% of airports in the US can accomidate a 747, not to mention that even some airports that can accomidate them have banned them for noise reasons.

I would go for the Gulf Stream for a perosnal jet. The citation is an option too.
For a commercial passenger plan I would go for the 747.
I would love to fly the Gulf Stream but would probably have an experienced pilot on payroll.

If money wasn't an option I would have to say a Lockheed L-1011. By far one of the best planes I have ever flown on and I am a big fan of this tri jet. Tough call though cause there are so many choices out there. I would also have to say a Boeing 727.

I would like a Concord if money wasn't an issue. They just look real nice and they are fast too. I also heard that they are very very confortable to be on. They can cross the atlantic ocean in only about 4-7 hours! Also it's the only supersonic passenger jet in production so I would like it. I would like to pilot it because I always have wanted to.

My personal favorite in the small category would be a Gulfstream V @ around 50 million USD, in the medium category, A Boeing Business Jet on the 737 airframe in the 150 million range and large category, a 747-400 tricked out in the 450 million range with all the bells, buzzers and whistles.

I would buy a Boeing 777-300. The space is huge and the engines are less noisy. Also, there is a new plane coming out soon, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

I'd buy a DC-9 in a heartbeat! Paint it up in Northwest's "bowling shoe" livery (and hopefully put on titles and stuff if NWA doesn't mind), and fly it. Heck, I might even have jars of Spinzels on board!:-P
