At least once a week, but I'm biploar. All I can do is hang on and wait. It will pass and then those very same things seem easily manageable. Very irritating.

It only feels that way if you let it happen. Start to think what you can do to make your life simpler. If getting up to go to work is a chore then perhaps you need to get to bed earlier. Whatever problem you have there is a plausible answer to correct it. It doesn't hurt to pray to God asking for some old fashioned guidance either. The very fact that I am suggesting these things comes from my Christian background so now you know just how powerful God is that he has troops out in the field trying to help the wounded soldiers. Prayer not only soothes the conscience but it can provide the solace to come up with workable solutions to all of our earthly problems. Once you decide upon a task then work to achieve the goal you have set for yourself. Getting up earlier for example may also limit your television viewing which allows you to rest more comfortably throughout the night. More charged and ready to go in the morning, now you feel like orange juice and oat meal. Now batteries charged you head off to work with a more positive outlook and things start to fall in place. Soon those big tasks are challenges that you enjoy doing and are no longer overwhelmed. Sleep, food, exercise and a positive attitude go a very long way in making our lives fruitful, happy and fun. May the power of God be with you today, the first new day of your beautiful life. Walk in peace today.

Focus on what is right about your life. Since you're able to get onto a computer and ask a question, you're life is actually quite easy compared to most other people in the world.

You have access to clean water. Most people don't.
You have access to a private bathroom with a toilet. Most people don't.
You have access to the best health care in the world.
You have access to healthy food. Most people don't.

In terms of being overwhelmed, focus on your top priorities and accept the fact that not everything will get done.

The more you focus on just how lucky you are, the more energy you will have to climb that steep mountain they call life.

You might not get everything you want in life, but you'll always get what you need.

Also, as you get older, your life experiences will give you the tools to better put things in perspective and realize a lot of what you worry about is really not that big a deal.

I hope this helps.

Just do one thing at a time and DON'T beat yourself up over things you didn't get around to-it will be there tomorrow. Talking to a therapist can really help.
