What's the big deal? It's a Wednesday - don't you have to go to work/ school etc. anyway?
They may as well call it Valentine's day, in association with interflora and Clintons.
Here - buy some overpriced flowers and tatty red card or you're an emotional failure...
Just do what you'd normally do. I'm going to the gym and I'm going to bask in the vast ammount of space that I'll have because everyone else will be spending money they don't have on food in fancy restaurants that will be the beginning of the end of their new year's resolution to be more healthy (the one they make every year), watching a film they wouldn't otherwise have bothered going to see and trawling the town for the one nightclub that opens on a Wednesday night so they can get too drunk to actually have any sex and coff up a fiver for a plastic rose - just so they can imagine themselves to be a romantic soul and have some sort of affirmation that they are in a successful relationship - or that at least they can pull.
Sounds great, but I'll be relaxing in the steam room, driving home on a quiet road and then watching the mid-week football in the comfort of my own home.

I hope you have a wonderful V Day whatever you end up doing. As you said yourself it's a day for love, and I think friendship too. So find a cute guy for a romantic date (sounds fab, wouldn't mind that myself!) but otherwise have a great evening with your chick friend and enjoy the day and evening anyway.
Need suggestions- check out Will He Call... http://www.willhecall.com and log in for free to see the suggestions on there. And also to remind you aren't the only one date-less or single but you can still have a wicked time!

What does it matter if you go on a romantic date on February 14th or March 1st?
Just use V Day creeping up on you with no date to go on as a kick up the bum to be more pro active to meet someone for next year if V Day is that important to you, it's not that big a deal to have no date, keep your head up!
I don't have one and couldn't be happier about it, I have a full day and night planned and it didn't even occur that it was Valentine's day. If you are only romantic one day of the year, there will be problems...
A message for all of y'all - treat everyday like Valentine's day.

Sorry, I don’t understand the whole Valentines Day thing; I would much prefer to be treated every single day than just on one day.
What I will be doing on Valentines Day is a take-a-way and bottle of wine with my bf. We don’t exchange gift etc on Valentines Day but we do when we want to.
Even if I didn’t have a bf, then I would be having my friends round for dinner (take-a-way) and bottles of wine etc.
The trouble with Valentines Day nowadays is that everywhere they put up the prices and I don’t agree with that as this has become more of a commercial thing rather than the true meaning.
It is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other and should the day with the mutual exchange of love notes in the form of "valentines".

Hey I'll go out with ya! When you're feeling sad don't be cuz there are millions of gorgeous women in this world with no dates on Valentine's day. It's just a man made day to sell cards, flowers and chocolates. So don't get too caught up with it. Your day will come and you'll be sharing it someone you love. So enjoy being single for now and just celebrate cuz your alive and healthy! And I'm sure beautiful also.

Well i asked my girlfriend out on Valentines day. and our 1 year is coming up on that day. So i would find a guy and try to flirt with him and to get him to like you. Because i'm a guy and if a girl did that to me and i was single, then i would ask her to by date on that day or keep going. But if your outta school, then i have no idea what to do, because i'm in highschool so theres a lotta girls and guys haha.

May I suggest that you look for someones Heart? Instead of just being with someone? You're much too special of a Lady. Just to be with someone. You deserve to be with that one Beating Heart. That shows you what Love is. Just by making you smile. Don't waste that Heart on just any old Body. Have fun, by being with a Heart. That beats only for you. Old Fashion? Sure! But it's Paradise, waiting for you. Love yourself. Outta here!
