Yes, i get sad seasonal emotional disorder, and there's really not much you can do about it aside for prescription drugs, if its really bad. I have read that you can improve some symptoms by purchasing a natural light sunlight light bulb and basking in ts rays for 15 to 20 minutes a day. look up natural light therapy and try to spend time with good friends who can cheer you up as well. personally i try to exercise.

After a lifetime of living in cold climes, I have found that:

projects
hobbies
books
movies
friends
vacations
meals out with family or friends
home repair
cleaning

these are a few of the things I do to keep occupied and upbeat during the winter months. An occupied mind is a happy mind. Too much time to worry or fret, along with less sunlight in the winter, can add up to depression.

Keep busy, dont fret, keep occupied. :)

i do. i think the reason is because i hate cold weather so much. i've always said if people can get the blues from rainy weather, then i can get upset when it's cold and/or snowy... and i do! : (

what i do to feel better during the winter, or anytime really, is listen to music, watch tv, get on the computer, or ask my friends to come over here, which they pretty much do anyways, since they know how much i hate getting out when it's cold outside!

i don't know where you live, so maybe your blues aren't caused by the elements, but if they are, just hang in there and find something fun to pass the time, it'll be spring soon! : )

cheers,
Shauna!

Go for a jog or long walk. I haven't yet invested in a sunlamp as they're very expensive. I also take st john's wort.

its called seasonal effective light dissorder. get bright lights and burn them all day if its gloomy, and they should be full spectrum bulbs to mimic daylight. however the days are now getting longer and spring is on the way.
