weight against height, use the chart.

Calculate his/her BMI (body mass index).
BMI= weight(kg) / height squared (in meters)
if BMI is 18.5-25 => normal
if 25-30 => overweight
if more than 30 => obese

Take them to their pediatrician-and ask him/her. Please do yourself and especially the child a huge favor-and don't get obsessive about the weight thing. See what the doc. says, and no child should be put on a "diet". Whatever we eat, is our "diet". Take care.
