(HERE'S THE RIDDLE)

In the basement there are 3 light switches in the off position. Each switch controls 1 of 3 light bulbs on the floor above. You may move any of the switches, but you may only go up stairs one time. How can you determine which switch controls each light?

Turn light switch 1 to the ON position for a few minutes, then turn it off. Then turn on switch 2, and go upstairs. The light bulb that is off and hot is attached to switch 1. The one that is on is attached to switch 2, and the one that is off and cold is attached to switch 3.

If the light bulbs are on the floor above...flick the switches...look up at the "ceiling" to determine which switch goes with which bulb...and then walk up the stairs.

turn on the first light, then leave it on for a while then turn it off and go up, as u leave to go up turn the 2nd one on if the light isnt on and the bulb duznt feel warm then the third switch is the light bulb switch, not bad for a 13 yr old huh?

If you can move any of the switches... then I would move the 1st and 3rd and see which lights they turned on upstairs. Then you have your answer.

Turn two on then one off, the cold bulb is the one not turned on, the warm off bulb is the one tunred on then off and the lit bulb is the one on : )

Hmmm turn one on for a minute then turn it off. then turn on another.. go up and see which is on, then check the other two to see which bulb is hot still. then you will know.. Is that right I think that would work...

get someone to look at the lights while you flick the switches and they can tell you
